MYPs research on guns, knives and gangs in Lambeth
This year, Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) from across the whole of London came together to create a number of Scrutiny Committees, each looking at a particular issues that affects young people in their local area. Our MYPs, Naomi and Jeremiah have chosen the issue of crime and safety, and specifically the growing concern about guns, knives and gangs in Lambeth. Naomi and Jeremiah have been interviewing young people, and a wide range of professionals to get a wide a view as possible. The report is due to be launched early in 2012, and will include research statistics, information gathered from interviews, and recommendations. Watch this space!
