Following weeks of assessments and interviews, the first 5 projects to be funded through this year’s Youth Mayor Fund have been announced!

The Fund, which amounts to £25,000 each year, allows the Youth Mayor to provide funding for young people in Lambeth wanting to set up projects to benefit their local communities. Projects that will be funded this year include:
  • A performing arts project organised by the G.A.S. youth group
  • A music video project organised by Child of Zion youth group
  • Funding to improve the facilities at the V.Y.G. youth club in Brixton
  • Funding to help create a new youth club at Cressingham Gardens
  • A project giving young people the chance to try rowing, organised by Ebony Rowing Club
The Funding is open to any young person aged 11-19 who lives, works or studies in Lambeth. The Funding will open again for applications in November, and you can find more information about how to apply by visiting our Get Involved page.
